Map box.net as a network drive on your Mac

If you have a free box.net account you would have found out that there is no desktop sync application. Using box.net via web site is not as pretty as one would wish, even though the web interface looks great.

Unless you have a paid account, which gives you the desktop sync tool, you can use box.com as a network drive, so at least drag and drop works OK.

To map box.com as a network drive on your Mac please follow these steps:

  • Open Finder
  • Click on Go > Connect to Server (or Command-K)
  • Enter the following address:
    https://www.box.net/dav/

  • Click on Connect
  • Provide your box.com log-in details
  • Enjoy!
