GAFYD - new style with coloured labels
Mon, 10 March 2008
If you are using Google Applications For Your Domain (GAFYD) and still have the old Gmail style interface, you may be able to fix the problem via GAFYD Control panel.
This is what you need to do. Log into the Control panel and select Domain settings then click General tab.

Scroll all the way down to Control panel settings and select Next generation. Also make sure you check Turn on new application features to my domain before they are rolled out to all Google Apps customers and save the changes.

Now log into your email account and click on Settings (top-right) and under General tab and make sure you have selected US English. Sadly this doesn’t work with UK English, but we’ll have to be patient until either Google enables this in other languages, or the Americans figure out how to format the date :-)
It may take up to 24 hours to see the changes, but your GAFYD email interface will look exactly the same as the “New Version” Gmail, with coloured labels, new style contact manager and email prefetching.
