How intrusive is Google Desktop for Mac
Fri, 6 April 2007
While Google Desktop for Mac is rather handy and user friendly application, there are many concerns about how intrusive it actually is.

The fact that Mac Google Desktop installs all the way down to the root and goes even as far as installing kernel extensions, is not very comforting. It also gathers the statistics on your searches and reports this back to Google, but you can turn this off. Or can you, really ?
Ansemond posts a very interesting article on his experiences with Mac Google Desktop
