Apple fixes the Stacks in 10.5.2
Sat, 22 December 2007
According to Macenstein, Apple has finally decided to fix the Stacks, so they can display the folder structure (list view) that was missed by many users since upgrading to Mac OS 10.5 Leopard.

Macenstein claims
It seems that our daily e-mails to Apple just might have gotten to someone on the Leopard development team! According to a source familiar with the latest Leopard build seeded to developers, in addition to all those meaningless “little” fixes (like Data Detectors, the Mac OS X Dock, the Finder, grammar checking, iCal, iChat,
list view” option that should have been there all along!
Furthermore, it appears that Apple has enabled the list view if the Dock is placed on the side of your desktop. All we have to do is sit and wait for the 10.5.2 to be released. Yay!

I wonder if Apple really was influenced by the many eMails from users regarding the issue of stacks in Leopard because the stand-up comic crew group has apparently gotten hold of the information that Apple sent a letter, a “cease and desist letter,” that is to a 9 year old girl — which reduced her to tears BTW — demanding that she cease sending unsolicited upgrade and enhancement suggestions regarding I believe it was her iPod.
I trust that reports of corporate misbehavior such as this once verified are generally signs and symptoms of user non-friendly corporate cultures. I would love to be wrong on this as I love the Apple products I own i.e. Ti PB 500MHz; 2nd generation IPod; and a 1.42 PM — they were, however, all purchased and burned-in long before the current popularity run on Apple equipment.
