Yeah your 100% WRONG....

Woops!!! did I say that to a left wing bias Mac user???

I'm going to hell. But, the truth is I own a mac pro 2.66 and I own a SLI nvidia driven PC with XP

The deal is my PC and my mac both run very well. I dont have problems with either.
It all depends on what you're doing. if you scanning for porn all night with yahoo messenger open playing a crappy Wild Tangent game yeah your PC is going to be retarded.

but then again if you don't have $500.00 bucks to buy ram with for the mac, your mac is going to run like crap, I have owned a G4 G5 and now a mac pro. They all have their problems. and don't get me started on the initial problems with the Intel processors.... oh and on that note, further more, and by the way... owned.

Actually this post is quite true. I used to use Windows and then Linux before getting a Macbook. I had been if not a computer guru then an advanced user. I would fix up computers for friends and family (usually this meant reinstalling Windows). The sad part is as frustrating as all this work was it was sort of enjoyable. I felt some pleasure in finding out how to get a wireless card to work or network printing on my parents' Windows machine, much as how one enjoys solving puzzles. Now my computer works _too_ well. I keep looking for stuff I can upgrade or new software to play with but I just don't _need_ to. I love my Macbook and it's the best computer I've ever owned but it's boring and sometimes I miss Windows and Linux.

Yeah I spend all my time installing windows. I must have done it, ooh, once since I bought my PC 2 years ago. I did spend an hour scouring the web to find out how to add a WEP encryption key to my friends iBook though (you need a $ preprended to make it store the key btw). So you're right - Macs are very very boring, whereas my PC lets me do my job.

ps. If you stand up your girlfriend to fix your PC then your problem is far more obvious than your choice of computer!
