Gmail interface updates
Wed, 22 November 2006
I’ve just set up ‘Google Apps for Your Domain‘ for my domain and noticed some changes in Gmail interface. I compared this to my ‘normal’ Gmail account and it looks different indeed. It’s not a great deal of changes but it looks very nice and it works great.
Firstly, there is a ‘Reply’ button on the top-right corner of the mail ‘frame’,

then there is a drop-down meny that expands nicely,

and finally ‘Reply’ and ‘Forward’ icons down on the bottom of the email ‘frame’ as well as the shadow that looks way better than before, on Firefox 2.0 at least.

A friend of mine set up his domain’s Gmail as well, but has no changes to the interface comparing to the ‘normal’ Gmail.
One thing I’ve done is to select UK English, but then when selecting control panel I opted for ‘Next generation’, even though it says ‘US English only’.
