Booting Windows XP on MacBook
Sun, 29 January 2006
There seems to be a way to boot Windows XP on a MacBook. OK, it’s theoretical only but Computer Guru provides detailed explanation how to get around Apple’s EFI, install and finally boot Windows XP on your MacBook.
One thing I’m a little unsure is - what about Intel iMac ? And he mentiones MacBook, I guess it would be MacBook Pro. Anyway, he suggests the following things are required:
Acronis Disk Director Bootable CD
Acronis True Image
Another computer with a clean install of XP.
A MacBook obviously!
A Windows Vista DVD (not for installation purposes!)
Vista boot files
bcdedit.exe
BCDedit restore file
Since I don’t have any Intel Macs I was unable to test this myself, so no responsibility will be taken if you wreck your new toy.

Thanks for mentioning that.. Yeah, I’m a not a Mac user (to put it lightly :P), jsut concerned with the theory and under the impression that all Macintels are called MacBooks.. So yeah, iMac Core Duos too :)
