Add an alarm to all iCal events
Mon, 4 September 2006
There are two things I hate about iCal, one is not being able to customise “Remind me again in…” message and the other is not being able to add an alarm to all events I create.
While I’m still on the quest to find a way to fix the first problem, Robert Blum has fixed the second issue.
iCalFix is a plug-in that automatically adds alarm to any event you create in iCal. The default value is set to 1 day before the event, but you can change this if you go to iCal preferences.

Download iCalFix 0.5 from Robert’s website.

In iCal, you can add as many alarms as you wish. Simply open the info box (click the I icon in the lower righthand corner) and check out all of the options. At ‘alarm” highlight alarm and you can add and subtract alarms and then options for alarm notificaiton show up at the arrows following alarm.
The info window shows all kinds of options that are useful and changes automatically to any highlighted event in iCal.
