Apple has initiated a worldwide battery exchange program for certain rechargeable batteries that were sold for use with 15-inch MacBook Pro computer systems from February 2006 through May 2006.

In a short statement on their support site, Apple addresses the problem with whining MacBook Pro. There is only one sentence - If your 15-inch MacBook Pro emits a high-pitched buzzing sound, please contact AppleCare for service. No further explanation, just that - contact AppleCare.

Telestream have announced the release of Flip4Mac universal binary, Mac OS X plug-in that enables Mac users to play Windows Media Video files.
Users of PowerPC based Macs have enjoyed this priviledge for some time, but Flip4Mac is now available for Intel based macs as well.

A little while ago Netscape revamped their website to include service similar to that of Digg, where users will contribute stories and then vote/digg them so that most popular stuff comes to the screen near you. Those that are not so popular will slowly get burried (un-scaped?) and disappear into the deep waters of internet.
